Oswald Squire Hickson (2 April 1877 – 9 January 1944) was an English lawyer, particularly known for his work in defamation litigation and in human rights cases during the Second World War. As a youth, Hickson played cricket for Northamptonshire in 1897 and 1898 in the Minor Counties Championship. He was educated at University College, London and admitted as a solicitor in 1902. He started work in London and helped build the reputation of the firm Oswald Hickson, Collier and Co.. He served on the Lord Chancellor's committee to report on the Law of Defamation.
